  • cowhide leather
  • buffalo leather

Goatskin leather backpacks are a little more rigid at first, but if you use these pieces regularly, they’ll soften quickly. Our cowhide or buffalo leather backpacks are more stable than those made of goatskin leather due to the nature of the material. This leather maintains its rigid structure and your leather backpack will soften naturally over time. Decide for yourself which leather best meets the needs of your new leather backpack.

The women’s backpacks in our “Gusti Leather nature” range are 100% natural products; we have demonstrated our commitment to sustainability by creating a range of products manufactured by small family businesses in India that create each product using traditional techniques. Individuality and uniqueness ring true here - each product is a complete one-of-a-kind. The goatskin leather used for this range is tanned, dyed, and greased using vegetable-based tanning products. This means that your new Gusti Leather nature backpack might have a strong smell when you first receive it. However, this smell will wear away if you use the bag regularly. There may also be some small marks on your new leather backpack, these are due to the fact that we use leather from free-range goats but they add an extra unique vintage touch to your bag.
